Welcome to the  Music Department

The Classroom Teaching Staff in the Music Department are:

Mrs. F Gillies – Principal Teacher

Mr. S. Brown – Primary / Secondary Department  

Here you will find further information about the department and details about the different experiences offered to pupils.

The Community School of Auchterarder Music Department is committed to providing a wide range of experiences for pupils of 4-18 years of age, from music-making to using new technology.

Curriculum, homework tasks, information sheets and submission dates can be easily found and pupils are encouraged to explore the links page to help with their personal development. Audio recordings of class work are regularly made allowing pupils to listen to and evaluate their progress. The department is committed to supporting pupils in their consolidation and completion of study/ homework tasks and pupils are welcome to use department facilities at any time. Pupils should however check that rooms are available. Staff are available to help with performing, listening and composing on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday after school

 

An experienced team of instrumental staff provide quality musical tuition and assist in delivering an excellent range of Extra-Curricular Activities.

Throughout the session pupils showcase their talents at a number of events within the school and the Perthshire area such as 'Perform in Perth'. News about recent and forthcoming events is regularly updated and pupils are encouraged to share their success and involvement in musical activities both locally and nationally.
